History...

The history of the company starts in 1929, with the foundation of the Julius Redel Cesra-Arzneimittelfabrik GmbH & Co. [Julius Redel Cesra Pharmaceutical Works & Co. Ltd.] in Rastatt.
As early as 1936, ongoing development already made it necessary for the company to move to Baden-Baden, where more extensive production facilities were available.

Here again the space eventually proved inadequate, so a new building was erected in the Haueneberstein district. This was ready for occupation in the year 1964.

After the death of the company founder Julius Redel in 1983, the Redel family incorporated the company in a charitable foundation. Since 1988 the company has been working with the higher-order aim of fulfilling the foundation’s charitable vision. The Redel Foundation works to support people in acute need of help as a result of natural or man-made castastrophes. Projects have been supported ranging from Romania to Peru, from the Ukraine to the Baltic and beyond.

With an eye to ongoing further development, the company’s production facilities and administrative offices were completely modernised between 1994 and 1998 so as to conform to the highest modern standards. High-tech working procedures, and the latest version of EDP technology, now form the foundation of our quality-assured pharmaceutical production and our meticulous marketing of medicinal products.
